At EKIN, our commitment to sustainability is strategic. We have begun the process of measuring and certifying our Organizational Carbon Footprint (OCF), with the aim of obtaining certification in 2026. This project, in collaboration with the specialist organization Ondoan, reinforces our commitment to transparency and mitigating our environmental impact.

From Intention to Measurement

The Carbon Footprint is the key tool that allows us to quantify the impact of global warming associated with our activity. For EKIN, certifying our OCF is not a compliance objective, but a necessity for continuous improvement and the design of more efficient solutions.

  • We are using the two most rigorous international standards: the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1.

The OCF Approach: Measuring the Value Chain

We have selected the Organizational Carbon Footprint (OCF) because it gives us a complete overview of all GHG emissions generated, both directly and indirectly.

This calculation is rigorous and includes three essential scopes of our activity:

  1. Direct Emissions (Scope 1): Includes direct emissions from our own or controlled sources, such as the combustion of fuels in fixed equipment, for example, our
  2. Energy Emissions (Scope 2): Indirect emissions derived from the consumption of electricity and other energies we purchase.
  3. Indirect Chain Emissions (Scope 3): This is the broadest scope. It measures emissions derived from our suppliers, waste, business travel, product transportation, and employee commuting.

A Future of Transparency and Efficiency

Measuring our HCO is the first step in setting ambitious reduction targets and continuing to evolve as responsible technology leaders. At the end of this process, we will be able to validate our efforts to customers and partners, demonstrating that our commitment to sustainability is an integral part of EKIN’s excellence.

We will continue to report on the progress of this key project, which will lead us to certify our Organizational Carbon Footprint in 2026.
